What You’ll Come Away With:
I believe that whatever’s happening inside your heart will always affect what happens in your relationships. I’ll help you unlock your emotions, learn how your emotional responses impact your connection with yourself and others, and grow in your ability to vulnerably share your heart in the moment with the people who matter most. It’s time for you to experience the connection with others that you desire!
Biography:
I moved to Redding in 2015 and joined the Transformation Center team in early 2020. I love being in a Kingdom-minded workplace, and I enjoy the spiritual freedom I have with my clients in this environment.
After graduating in 1998 from Northeastern State University, I worked at a Christian camp in Oklahoma to develop and build an outdoor ministries program. There, I discovered my love for helping people grow and eventually decided to go back to school to become a licensed therapist. Over the years, I’ve worked with many different populations including children, adolescents, adult individuals, families and couples.
As I’ve grown in my therapeutic skills, I’ve experienced tremendous breakthrough in my own life and marriage because I’ve learned how to self-reflect and better understand my own emotions. One particularly meaningful moment occurred a few years ago when I was cooking dinner and felt frustrated that “nobody’s helping me!” My wife was on her phone, and when I asked her “hey, is that important right now?” I realized that I was actually attempting to connect with her because I felt lonely and disconnected. This marked a turning point where I learned how to recognize my needs and draw into a relationship instead of pushing someone away. My goal is to help clients experience similar improvements in their relationships. I’m also passionate about helping others minimize symptoms of depression and anxiety and process through various stuck places in their hearts.
My wife and I have been married since 2003 and have 3 wonderful children - one son and two daughters. We love to spend time together as a family - hiking, exploring and kayaking as well as playing games inside. I also spend time in my garage building and creating with wood or roasting coffee.
