What You’ll Come Away With:
I believe that you can receive deep, sustainable change in your life. With my integration of both spiritual and clinical skills (plus my personal inner-healing experiences!), I’ll help you 1) pinpoint unhelpful relational and thought patterns in your life, and 2) develop healthier coping mechanisms. You’ll have a better understanding of the roots of the challenges in your life, and I’ll equip you with tools to address any persistent issues.
Biography:
I’ve been involved in inner-healing ministry for years and have served as a ministry team trainer at Santa Monica Vineyard in Los Angeles. Much of my counseling and ministerial work is informed by my own healing journey with God as I walked out of my own trauma and anxiety by learning how to be a beloved child of the King.
Due to early trauma and wounding, I emerged into adulthood experiencing significant anxiety and panic when crises would occur. Through participation in therapy with a Spirit-filled clinician, I learned how to bring younger places in my heart/history to the Lord and to allow Him to minister comfort and safety into those places. He literally changed my foundation from shifting sand to the SOLID Rock. I have been free of anxiety and panic since February 1998. Because of my own experience, I deeply understand younger wounding and trauma, and I have great faith and confidence in the Lord’s ability to transform and restore us. He does this through His loving re-parenting as well as using safe and trained others.
I was ordained as a pastor in 2020 by my church, and in that capacity, I offer pastoral counseling to clients all over the world via telehealth. As a counselor, I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients and challenges including children & families, behavioral issues, addiction, trauma, and gender/sexual identity struggles. I’m most interested in how our faith informs and ultimately defines our responses to inner-wounding. I find joy in accompanying people on their healing journey as directed by the Holy Spirit and incorporating the clinical skills God has enabled me to develop over the years.
I am an active, outdoors person and enjoy bicycle riding, walking and hiking in beautiful settings when I’m not at work. I’m also a worship leader with a house of prayer; playing guitar and singing give me great joy.
