However, Simple Practice automatically generates super bills for you that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement IF you work with a licensed therapist on our team who assigns you a mental health diagnosis code. Check with your own insurance provider before booking a session to see if they’ll accept a Superbill for reimbursement, and if so, what their parameters are for that.

Please note that not all of our therapists offer diagnosis codes, and we highly suggest confirming with them directly during your first session whether or not they can.

  • Due to their busy schedules, they don’t typically see clients except through referrals.

If you’re interested in joining our trauma & addiction program, Yvonne would be happy to meet with you for a consultation.

  • We offer a limited number of after-hours and Saturday appointments. This will depend on your minister’s availability, and you can indicate your preference on your intake forms.

  • Please visit the “Sozo Internship” tab on our website for details about our internship program.

  • Our goal is to steward our environment and our clients well for the safety, health, and healing of all our clients and staff.

We’re excited to partner with you on your inner-healing journey. Still, we reserve the right to refuse service or entrance to anyone who threatens the safety of our staff or other clients, does not adhere to our policies, or who we feel we are not the best fit for.

For everyone we encounter, we pray that as you follow God, He would lead your next steps and that you would receive blessing, healing, and direction.

  • We updated our client portal system in 2020. If you were a client before 2020 and have not booked sessions since then, we will need you to submit your up-to-date information (even if it is the same) and fill out new intake forms. You will go through the same process as a new client.

  • If your account has been deactivated due to an outstanding balance, please contact our office and pay the full balance. When the balance owed has been paid, we’ll reinstate your account if you choose.

Account Privacy

  • HIPAA is a federal law designed to protect individuals’ sensitive patient health information.

As a result, we cannot discuss a person’s account (or even confirm/deny that an individual even IS a client of ours) with anyone else - including their spouse - unless our client lists that person’s name on their “Release of Information” (ROI) form.

You may add or revoke permission on your ROI at any time. Simply contact our front desk to notify us of your desired change. We’ll send you a new ROI form as needed.

  • This is entirely up to you! However, please note that we can’t discuss you or your account (including appointments/billing) with anyone who isn’t released by you, including your spouse.

For joint sessions, we require both individuals to release each other in their joint profile ROI forms. This allows our team to talk with both individuals about their joint account. Please note that you don’t have to release the same person in your individual account.

Booking Appointments

  • Step #1: Submit your contact info on our website. We’ll follow up with a link to complete your intake forms within 1-3 business days.

Step #2: Complete your intake forms. Once we receive them, we’ll prayerfully match you with a minister (you may also request to meet with a specific member of our team). After we add you to that minister’s caseload, we’ll send you an email with a link to book your appointment.

Step #3: Book your appointment. Use the link to request an appointment for the date and time that works best for you. Get ready to receive your breakthrough.

  • When you submit your info to “Request Intake Forms,” you’ll input your primary reason for coming to our office. Our follow-up email will suggest a service to you based on your response.

On your intake forms, you’ll be able to write exactly which service you’d prefer to start with. Our team will use this information to prayerfully pair you with a minister who we think will best fit your needs. You’re also welcome to review our team’s biographies and request to meet with a specific individual.

  • Have we sent you a confirmation email that you’ve been added to a minister’s caseload? (You won’t be able to book until you get this email.)

If you’ve received that email and are still having trouble, please go to our Client Portal page to watch our help videos.

  • Please turn on your email and text notifications through the Simple Practice client portal. You’ll receive appointment reminders through whatever means you’ve enabled.

Please “whitelist” our email address (transformationcenter@bethel.com) and the Simple Practice emails, so that you’ll always receive them in your inbox.

  • You’ll receive the appointment link in 2 separate emails. One will arrive in your inbox 24 hours before your appointment, and a second email will arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment. Check your spam folder if you don’t see these emails in your inbox.

Mobile sessions can be accessed via the Telehealth by Simple Practice app in your tablet or smartphone's app store or via web browser on a laptop or desktop computer.

Note: Some countries do not allow the use of the Telehealth app. You can visit your app store on your mobile device to confirm if Telehealth app is available in your country. If unavailable, please join your session via a laptop or desktop computer.

To make sure you always get our emails in your inbox, please “whitelist” our email address (transformationcenter@bethel.com) and the emails from Simple Practice.

  • We offer online booking! The "client portal" tab gives more information about this process, including a help video. Here's a summary of the process:

    1) Submit "book an appointment" form on our website.

    2) Complete intake paperwork through the link that's emailed to you.

    3) Our team will read through your paperwork and add you to a minister's caseload. You may indicate a preferred minister on your intake forms.

    4) When you receive an email from us confirming that you’ve been added to a minister’s caseload, you’ll get a link to book. You can book appointments up to 3 months in advance.

  • We believe that breakthrough obtained during a Sozo session can be best sustained when individuals take time to process their session before booking another. This means that (under most circumstances), we don't book more than one Sozo per day.

  • In the first appointment, you and your minister may or may not be able to work through all the areas your minister aims to help you address. If you are able to address all the areas and you and your minister feel you can sustain the freedom and breakthrough you received, we'd recommend waiting at least 3 months before scheduling another.

If you and your minister were unable to address all the desired areas in the first session or feel you may need some additional support in maintaining your freedom, we would recommend scheduling a follow-up Sozo around a week later, depending on your availability and your minister's.

Even if you are in town for a short period of time, we do not recommend booking sessions two days in a row. Instead, we encourage you to spread out your sessions to allow time to process what God did in the first appointment.

  • We want to partner with you and any other mental/spiritual health providers that you're already working with. Before one of our team members will be able to see you, please check in with your current counselor/therapist to ensure they're okay with you coming to the Transformation Center.

  • Please submit a referral request, so that we can rematch you without you needing to complete the intake forms all over again.

If you’ve met with your last minister within the past 3 months, we’ll include them in the referral process. This may increase the overall processing time.

Ministers will not take your request for a referral personally as their goal is to help further your healing. We want to work as a team (you, your old minister, and TC admin) to get on the same page, so that you can get the breakthrough you’re seeking.

We hold our staff to a high standard of excellence and professionalism. Please do not hesitate to submit a referral request for any reason, including if you:

    • Have never met with your assigned minister and/or feel they are not the best fit;

    • Are requesting a referral due to a grievance that you have with your current minister; or

    • Want to try a different service and your current minister doesn’t offer it.

Note: Clients are typically limited to seeing one minister at a time so that they can build a relationship with their minister and so that both the client and our staff can have clarity on the client’s next steps. We believe this will best help further our client’s healing process.

  • Our ministerial team isn’t paid by Bethel, and for many, this is their primary source of income. We charge for sessions to honor their time and expertise. Most members of our team have decades of experience, education, and training.

  • Please reach out to our front desk team and request a financial aid form. We offer a sliding fee scale, and we’ll see what you may qualify for.

  • Bethel has pastors on call who are happy to pray for you. Please call 530-255-2066.

  • Yes! If you’re wanting someone to pay for sessions for you, there are a few options:

    1. You can give us verbal or written consent for a one-time payment. This will allow whoever you name to make a one time payment which will leave a credit on your account for however many sessions that payment covers. To select this option, please call or email our office.

    2. We can send you a new Release of Information (ROI) form and you can name a specific person/people who will have access to pay for your sessions. To select this option, please call or email our office and request a new ROI.

  • Not at this time.

  • All clients input their credit/debit card information into our online portal while completing intake paperwork. You will not be charged when entering this information, and it is completely safe and secure in Simple Practice. Our team can't access or change your information.

  • Please contact our front desk at transformationcenter@bethel.com to notify us if Simple Practice isn't accepting your credit card. We'll help you find a solution.

  • Yes! Please see our Bethel Students & Staff section below for more information.

  • The No Surprises Act, which is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act is designed to give clients an estimate of how much they’ll be charged for the healthcare services they’ll be receiving, prior to their future appointment(s).

If you are uninsured, self-pay, or do not plan to submit a Statement for Insurance Reimbursement to your health insurance provider, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate.

In accordance with the Good Faith Estimate provision and upon request, the healthcare providers on our staff with a state-issued license/certification (names listed below), will issue a Good Faith Estimate to their clients for the services they provide. If you have not received one and would like to, please contact your licensed minister to request one.

The Good Faith Estimate is not a contract between provider and client and does not obligate or require the client to obtain any of the listed services from the provider. The Good Faith Estimate is only an estimate and the actual services or charges may differ from what is included in the estimate. For more information click here.

  • Yes! When you or your organization purchase 10+ sessions at one time, then standard sessions (normally $115) will be reduced to $100 per session. If you or your group members opt to book a specialty service, then a $100 credit will be applied to that service.

If you decide to utilize our group discount, then email us and we'll send you an additional "group discount form" through Simple Practice where you'll provide the name, email, and phone number of any individuals you're gifting the session(s) to. They'll need to complete their own paperwork within Simple Practice (our client portal) and authorize you to gift them a session. The sessions you purchase up front will then be applied as a credit to each individual's account.

You (and/or your organization) have 6 months to apply the credits to any appointment costs. After that date (unless you've purchased additional bulk credits), any unused credit will be transferred to our benevolence fund to assist individuals who may otherwise not have funds to come to the Transformation Center.

Services

  • We suggest that (most) new clients start with a Sozo.

Sozo is a gentle deliverance and inner-healing ministry where we help you connect with God in any areas where there’s currently a disconnect. This will help you receive a fresh encounter of His love and get free from the ways that past painful experiences are impacting your present reality. Each Sozo is unique because it’s a prophetic partnership between you, your ministerial team, and the Holy Spirit.

In addition to standard Sozo sessions, we also offer specialized Sozos to target specific areas of pain in your life (including debriefs for returned missionaries/veterans).

Sozo is most often not a process-based service. Sessions are typically scheduled on an inconsistent basis as the need arises.

    90 min sessions

  • We suggest starting with counseling if you’re currently experiencing a traumatic situation or have suffered recent loss.

Counseling is a safe space to process your pain and gain healthier relational tools. You and your counselor can discuss ways to restore relational connection, resolve conflict, communicate well, and implement appropriate boundaries.

Counseling is a process-based service that often involves consistent appointments over a period of time.

Our counselors believe in the power and work of the Holy Spirit that could be instantaneous or a process. You are not only sitting with a counselor who is “faith-based,” but one that also trusts the Holy Spirit to set you free. Whether you have many sessions with our ministers or are set free after a few, our goal is to see you walk in the freedom Jesus paid for.

    50 min sessions

We also offer EMDR* and Brainspotting*.

  • Brainspotting (or BSP) is a type of therapeutic modality that locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in specific parts of the brain. Its goal is to bypass the conscious thinking in order to access the deeper parts of the brain that are based on emotion and physiology.

This service will begin with preparatory counseling sessions that will help map out memories that can be targeted during brainspotting.

  • We suggest starting with coaching if you’re 1) ready to move towards your goals & dreams and 2) in a relatively healthy place emotionally.

Coaching is a great way to navigate transition (i.e. “what’s next?”) and create a plan to achieve your goals & dreams. Your coach will ask powerful questions, give a new perspective, and provide accountability as you walk towards your destiny.

We offer FREE 15-min consultations with our coaches to see if it’s a good fit.

Our desire in Coaching sessions to assist you in casting vision for your life with the Lord. We want to see you thrive in your dreams and empower you to work out your God-given design. Come to Coaching sessions ready to put in the work and be encouraged to change the world.

Coaching is a process-based service that often involves consistent appointments over a period of time.

    50 min sessions

  • We suggest our intensive outpatient trauma and addiction program when pornography, substance abuse, and other addictions are crippling your life and relationships.

A 30-minute, $30 consultation with our Associate Director, Yvonne Martinez, is required to move forward. She’ll provide appropriate referrals if our program isn’t the best fit.

This treatment program is tailored to your unique needs. It’ll include a combination of any of the following:

    • Individual counseling and Sozo sessions

    • Joint counseling sessions with your spouse

    • Group sessions

*Please note that our addiction program is only open to those who are 18+ years old.

  • Some of our services are available for "joint sessions" which are different than couples sessions in that the persons attending sessions are two or more adults who are not romantically involved.

Note: If more than two adult family members wish to receive sessions together, we will likely need to create a family account and have everyone complete our paperwork. Please email us with your goals for more information.

Bethel Students & Staff

  • All currently-enrolled Bethel students with an assigned RGP/Mentor/Overseer (not alumni or online part-time students in between phases) are eligible for an exclusive student discount at the Transformation Center (TC). By default, you will not be processed as a student and will be charged the standard $115 appointment cost.

To receive the optional Bethel Student discounts, we ask you to sign a Release of Information form authorizing your current Bethel school team (RGP/Mentor and administrative personnel). This does not enable them to make changes to your account but to discuss and receive existing account information (session notes, etc.) with/from us when needed to better serve you during your school journey.

Releasing your Bethel School staff will reduce your standard session rate to $85. Standard sessions include general Sozos, counseling, and coaching.

Specialty services with non-standard pricing include:

    • EMDR (50-min. session; Normally $175; $125 for students)

    • Financial Sozos for Individuals (50-min. session; Normally $175; $125 for students)

    • Financial Sozos for Couples (1.5 hr. session; Normally $200; $175 for students)

    • Art Sozos (2.5 hr session; Normally $150; $125 for students; clients required to bring additional supplies)

If your RGP sends you to the Transformation Center AND scholarships a portion or all of the cost, then your Bethel School will cover a portion of your session(s), up to $85. If your RGP/mentor has discussed partially or fully scholarship your session with the TC, you are responsible for ensuring that the TC has received a completed recommendation form from your RGP/mentor. If this recommendation form isn’t received before your appointment, then you’ll be charged the full appointment cost. We recommend confirming that our office has received the recommendation form on your behalf before scheduling an appointment with us since the Bethel schools do not offer reimbursements for sessions at the TC.

Please note that some of our ministers/services may not available to see clients at a discounted rate. If a specific staff member or service is your priority, you are welcome to pay our standard rates.

  • No. We do not currently offer discounts to alumni.

If you are in need of financial assistance for our services, feel free to contact our Front Desk team via the contact us tab.

  • All current Bethel Staff are eligible for an exclusive staff discount at the Transformation Center (TC) for $85/standard session. You also will receive discounts on our speciality services. By default, you will not be processed as a staff member and must complete the following steps in order to receive the discount. If not, you will be charged the standard $115 appointment cost.

In order to opt into this discount, you will need to use your valid Bethel email address when signing up for appointments/more information. On your intake forms, please list which department you work for. This will let our team know your staff status in order to activate your discount.

If your department is paying for your session, you will need to include them on the Release of Information (ROI) form for billing purposes.

Specialty services with non-standard pricing include:

    • EMDR (50-min. session; Normally $175; $125 for staff)

    • Financial Sozos for Individuals (50-min. session; Normally $175; $125 for staff)

    • Financial Sozos for Couples (1.5 hr. session; Normally $200; $175 for staff)

    • Art Sozos (2.5 hr session; Normally $150; $125 for staff; clients required to bring additional supplies)

  • No. This discount is available to all currently enrolled students in BSSM and Bethel College (Tech, BCA, Music, etc.).
