What You’ll Come Away With:

I believe you have ALL that it takes to succeed, and Jesus has a solution for every problem you’re experiencing. However, it’s often helpful to have someone “on the outside” of your situation to help you process what’s happening. Together, we’ll look at your history and identify your strengths/skills that can transfer into solving this particular issue. We’ll pay attention to the internal prophetic ideas and thoughts that God is giving you, and we’ll integrate Biblical truths into a plan for building the life & relationships you desire.

Biography:

For the last 20+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with teenagers, young adults and families in the areas of ASC (autism spectrum conditions), addictions, family dynamics and mentoring. Before moving to Redding to attend BSSM, I worked for a Christian boarding school for 24 years. Prior to that, I worked at a group home for adolescents. I joined the Transformation Center in 2021, and I’m passionate about helping others experience the healing presence of God like I have.

Although I grew up in a Christian family, there was a lot of dysfunction too. My Mom passed away when I was 3 years old, but no one talked about it. Then my Dad remarried that same year, but she never adopted me. I distanced myself from God, faith, and church, and I eventually became friends with people who spent their spare time smoking, drinking, and partying; somehow I never participated in these things, but this season still marked me.

I didn’t begin healing from my childhood trauma until I attended boarding school at age 14, and this experience (plus Bible school at age 18) was transformative. Not only did I reconnect with the love of God, but I was also healed of the scoliosis that I’d been struggling with for 1.5 years! All of this inspired me to pursue God with everything I had and also to become a marriage and family therapist.

I’m from Denmark and have been married since 1989. We have two grown-up children, a beautiful daughter in law, and two delightful grandchildren. I love challenging myself with endurance sports: biking, mountain biking, swimming, fitness, and climbing. I also love just relaxing in a sauna. I’ve been active in worship in my local church for 30+ years and volunteer weekly at Bethel’s healing rooms. I also love lattes and homemade baked goods.
