The Power of Love

Love is the ONE thing that can affect the heart of any and every person no matter what. Whatever season of life you’re in, no matter how old you are, your relationship status, or where you live, love is essential.

Everyone longs to love and be loved. It’s hardwired in our DNA. We are saved, healed, and delivered through the power of God’s love toward us.

“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” -Ephesians 3:17-19

His love saves us.

We all know that Jesus died to save us, right? He took on human form, came to earth, and lived a perfect and sinless life. He died on the cross and bore the sins of all of humanity so we could be made spotless and pure. His death and resurrection made salvation possible.

But, have you ever stopped to think about the fact that God the Father was the One who sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to die on behalf of humans who might never love Him back?

What kind of love must the Father possess for humanity that He would sacrifice His only Son in exchange for connection with us?

His love heals us.

Not only did God’s love provide us salvation, purification of sins, and restoration of connection, but His love also made a way for us to be completely healed and free mentally, emotionally, and physically.

He is the Great Physician. His specialty is wholeness for His kids. The Father longs for zero separation from His children and He leads us on journeys of healing so that we can live wholeheartedly and in strong physical health and wellness.

His love delivers.

Through salvation, we receive the spirit of adoption. We move from the identity of an orphan to being sons and daughters in the Kingdom of our heavenly Father. Just like a good dad cares for His kid’s well-being, so does God care for us. He wants freedom for us more than we want it for ourselves!

Psalm 147:3 tells us that God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He takes what the enemy intended for harm and turns it for good. His love has the power to break down strongholds, tear down walls, and rip up roots that would hinder us from living in the fullness of who He created us to be.

The Father’s love is incredibly powerful. One encounter with His love can save a life, restore a heart, heal a body, and bring redemption to what was lost or broken.
