Let’s Talk About Sozo

Sozo is the heart of what we do here at the TC. Appearing 110 times in the New Testament, it’s a Greek word that means, “saved, healed, and delivered.” It isn’t just partial healing. It’s healing us entirely. Inside and out.

What is Sozo?

Sozo is gentle deliverance. It’s a powerful tool that’s used to bring breakthrough and healing. The goal of Sozo is to uncover the root issues that hinder our growth and relationship with God and others.

As stated above, Sozo is a Greek word that’s used 110 times in the New Testament and means “saved, healed, and delivered.”

In Luke 17:11-14, a group of lepers came to Jesus seeking healing. Jesus sent the lepers on a mission to seek out the priests. The scripture says that “while they were going, they were cleansed.” The word “cleansed” translates Sozo! The healing that the lepers experienced wasn’t just physical. It was mental, emotional, and spiritual.

What does a session look like?

In a Sozo session, there will be a Sozo minister in the room praying for you and guiding you through the process of connecting with God.

Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you’ll be able to ask God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit questions about:

  • -lies you’re believing

  • -past hurts that need to be healed

  • -people to forgive

  • -unhealthy generation cycles or relational ties

  • -sins to renounce

You will walk with a deeper revelation of the Father’s heart for you and truth in areas of any former pain.

How do I know it’s time for a Sozo?

You know it’s time for a Sozo when:

  • -you feel disconnected from God or others

  • -you feel stuck in not knowing how or are unable to move forward

  • -you feel hindered by your past traumatic experiences

  • -you have difficulty receiving love from the Lord or others

  • -you are trapped in cycles of anxiety, depression, or sin

Sozo is NOT counseling. If you’re currently experiencing a traumatic event or have suffered a recent loss, then we recommend starting with a counseling session and not a Sozo. Your counselor may use Sozo tools in your session or refer you to a Sozo minister.

How do I book a session?

You can book a session right here on our website! You’ll submit your contact info, fill out the intake form, and book your first appointment. It’s as simple as that!

Sozo was created and designed with freedom in mind. It helps us overcome spiritual barriers to receive a revelation of God’s love for us and gain insight into anything that could be holding us back from being the person God designed us to be.
