I believe that many people don’t know who they truly are because they weren’t allowed to express themselves or their feelings when growing up. My goal in sessions is to help you walk through any lingering pain and uncover your God-given identity and unique personality; this is essential in healing, letting go of toxic relationships, and building the life of your dreams. As a result of meeting with me, you’ll feel supported, validated, and hopeful, with a renewed sense of vision and forward momentum.
Biography
I was born and raised in Redding, CA. I didn’t have a dad growing up, and my stepfather didn’t want to adopt me because then he’d have to put me into his will. Needless to say, these experiences left me with a gaping wound of “fatherlessness.” When I was saved, God began to show me how this had affected my identity, decisions, and behavior as well as how to heal and change. I experienced God’s love and compassion for me, and He’s been the stabilizing force through all of life’s ups and downs.
Several years ago, I found out that the man I thought was my birth father actually wasn’t; initially my identity was shaken, but God redeemed all of it. He used that situation to increase my ability to help others discover hope and walk in their God-given identity/purpose. In 2017, God spoke to me about sowing into the next generation as a counselor and grandmother; I’m so excited to journey with my clients as they step into the fullness of joy that God has for them!
For most of my adult life I’ve lived in Redding, except for a short time when my husband and I lived out of state to start a new business. I began attending Bethel in 2003, and I joined an intercessory prayer team that is still important to me today. My husband and I have one son, Gabe, who lives in London with his wife and three kids. When not at work, I love reading, traveling, eating good meals out, and spending time with my family and friends.
