What You’ll Come Away With:

I’ve been through the fires of trauma, and I’m personally familiar with the healing process. So if you’re afraid/unsure of Sozos, or if you’re struggling to hear God’s voice, then I’m the person you want to see! In sessions with me, you won’t be re-traumatized, and you won’t have to remember your trauma in order to be healed. I’m extremely gentle and patient, and I won’t make you do what you don’t want to do. I don’t have an agenda; my only goal is to help you partner effectively with God and receive the healing He has for you.

Biography:

While growing up, my brothers and I were severely neglected, and sometimes our parents didn’t even feed us. The trauma from this ongoing abuse was so severe that I eventually dissociated and stored no conscious memories of it. As a young adult, I was so broken that I couldn’t remember anything from one day to the next since my self-defense mechanism was to black everything out.

20 years ago, my life was transformed when I was working in children’s church and our pastor required everyone to get a Sozo. In the session, I asked God “why did all this happen in my life?” I expected God to punish me for asking the question, but instead I heard the whisper: “it wasn’t your fault.” This radical truth was exactly what I needed to hear, and in one instant it set me completely free from all the guilt, shame, and condemnation that I’d been drowning in. I truly connected with God for the first time in my life, and I realized that this kind of intimacy with God (without the weight of sin or punishment) is what the Christian life should be all about.

That first Sozo began a 5-year, intensive healing process that restored my ability to remember! For the first time in my life, I started making informed choices because I could access my memories, and my connection with God deepened because we could actually build an ongoing relationship. Life was so different after this since I finally had a choice of who I wanted to be. I pioneered children’s Sozos during this season as I wanted the kids at children’s church to experience the same freedom that I’d found. I'm still amazed in every session at how God connects with each person to bring unique truth to them that transforms their head truth into heart truth.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my friends because I’m a quality time person.
