Take Heart - Part 2
My husband and I were dreaming of starting a family and had been trying for a couple of years. We were on vacation when it happened— My menstrual cycle was over a week late so I decided to take a pregnancy test. I took the test and the result was positive! From that moment, my husband and I started planning for our firstborn. We started talking about all the ways that we could tell our parents. We talked about names. We talked about it all. This new life developing within me was all we could talk or think about.
A couple of days later, I noticed some very light bleeding, which continued and I realized I had started my menstrual cycle. The pregnancy test had been a false positive.
Have you ever had any false positives in your life?
After grieving for a couple of days, my husband asked me a question that sparked a revelation that I’ll never forget, “How did you respond when you got that positive pregnancy test? Faith starts with the expectancy you had before you took that pregnancy test.”.
That’s when the revelation of Jesus washed over me, and I felt hope again.
The sadness was still there, but I had hope for the future. We continued to dream and plan for our future children. Little did we know that our lives were headed for a course correction that would change our lives forever. I became pregnant with vision and 9 months later our lives were turned upside down as we journeyed toward uprooting our lives in GA and moving across the country to root ourselves in Redding, CA. God gave us a dream within a dream and has taken us on a healing journey that will forever impact our legacy. I’m thankful that He took the pain I had in my heart and turned it into a promise giving me a future and hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) I’m already known in heaven as a Mom.
Receiving prophetic words from the Lord about our legacy gives us the courage to stand in faith.
How can you stand in faith when you are disappointed?
The moment I got vision and direction from God was when I could take back my hope and move forward in faith. Your Heavenly Father is for you and not against you. He wants to dream with you again from a foundation of pure love.
—The weapons of our warfare are for pulling down strongholds. Those weapons are the prophetic declarations that God has spoken over you. (1 Timothy 1:18)
Before Isaac was conceived, Abraham contended for the promise the Lord prophetically spoke to him. He made a few mistakes along the way, but God was still faithful.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he left, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. By faith, even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.”
Hebrews 11:8-11 NASB2020
Abraham lived as a stranger in the land of promise because he was a pioneer of the faith, paving the way for his family to inherit the promised land.— Take Heart Part 1
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. One who despises the word will do badly, But one who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”
Proverbs 13:12-13 NASB2020
What is your deepest desire?
My parents model endurance well. Their lives are a display of what it means to persevere— not to quit when things get tough, but to keep pressing forward.
I grew up watching the Rocky movies, and they sparked something deep in me—heart and endurance. My family used to say this quote all the time: “It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
I didn’t realize it at the time, but that quote was a seed that was planted in the depths of my heart. Rocky took every punch but refused to stay down. In the same way, the faithful endure—not because the fight is easy, but because the victory is already won.

True heart is trusting that, even when the fight is long, the land of promise awaits those who refuse to surrender to the giants that are standing at the doors of their destinies, fully surrendering to Jesus and His all-consuming love.
It’s through the fight that purpose is conceived within you.
It’s not time to quit. It’s not time to give up. It’s time to keep moving forward into your promised land.
“The Lord leads you into conquering the enemy of your soul that has been in your family line for 5 generations and suddenly you’ve got a marriage that works, you’ve got children that are growing up healthy. What’s happening? You just took over territory that was occupied by the enemy.” -Bill Johnson
Like Abraham, Jesus stayed in the fight. He followed through to the cross and paved the way for all of us to receive the promise of eternal life!
“The promised land is the internal triumph and victory that creates momentum for your family line.” - Bill Johnson
It’s time to close the door on the strategies of the enemy and press into the dream that God had when He created you. I prophesy restoration over you, that your heart would heal from disappointment and launch into divine appointment.
The Lord is wooing you into promises that have been untended and inviting you into an alliance and agreement with His Word.
