Journey Into Freedom
The Transformation Center (TC) has truly lived up to its name, as it's been an epicenter of massive transformation in me and in my relationship with God and others. I began coming to the TC about 5 years ago and have made appointments every 6-8 months since then.
I came to the TC like a weary life traveler carrying tons of fear, anxiety, control, anger, and performance pressures related to my family, provision, job, and life purpose. It was my normal for the prior 30 years.
I now walk in God’s peace and overflowing love about 95% of the time. And when I do experience fear/anxiety, it's abnormal, and I know what to do to get back to my anchor of peace that holds within the veil--this is HUGE, LIFE TRANSFORMING, and RELATIONSHIP HEALING... "Wow Mom, you seem different, things that used to infuriate you don't and it's so easy to talk to you. You're just happy and mellow most of the time."
My pastoral counselor brings to our sessions the entirety of who she is in Christ, the gifts of her intimate relationship with Jesus, and her experience as a Sozo minister and counselor. It's like having an appointment with Jesus. I've always had a hard time trusting counselors due to past hurts. But there was so much Jesus pouring out of my counselor that it was easy to let my guard down and trust Jesus in her to unburden me from life's painful baggage.
We started with Sozo tools to remove the layers of barriers to building an intimate relationship with Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. This process opened my ears to hear the Holy Spirit so clearly. This made it possible for me to approach my relationships as a healthy and whole person, bringing restoration and new healthy pathways. As I began struggling with parenting my teenagers, my counselor equipped me with communication tools to preserve my relationships with them amidst some Goliath-sized battles.
I’ve received so much more than I expected from my time at the TC. I’m now walking in:
Freedom from relational baggage, unforgiveness and resentment.
Deep intimacy with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Knowing the weapons of spiritual warfare and how to use them.
Understanding and ownership of who I am in Christ and how God sees me.
Confidence to boldly step into all that God calls me to because I know how to take each thought captive. I more readily recognize/disarm the lies of the enemy, walk in the love of the Father, and guard my heart to protect my peace.
Ok, and just one more thing, thanks for reading all the way to the end. But I just have to share an additional bonus of working with the TC over the years.
As God has continued to grow me, there were SO many things that baffled me coming from a cessationist background. I have been so thankful for my counselor’s explanations and resources for further growth that she shared with me. For example, I now realize God has been giving me prophetic pictures since I was a kid and now that I understand that, it's become an amazing and rich way of connecting with God and ministering to others.
