What You’ll Come Away With:

In sessions with me, you’ll learn how to get the relational nutrients needed to grow your character and produce good relationships with others. We’ll address your identity, negative realities in your life, and help you fully transition into adulthood - all elements of developing your character. I’ll facilitate deep healing experiences that will help you have fewer personal issues (such as anxiety/depression) and perform at higher levels.

Biography:

I’m originally from Anchorage, Alaska, and I grew up hiking and exploring the outdoors - which I still enjoy doing to this day! I started my career in nursing at the University of Alaska where I obtained both a bachelor's and a master's degree in nursing. I’ve been drawn to the art of healing for as long as I can remember; when I discovered inner healing some years ago for myself, I began to apply principles with those around me to the best of my ability. Before I knew it, I was enrolled in a master's in counseling degree at Concordia University Irvine.

Upon finishing my counseling degree, I felt it would be beneficial to seek spiritual formation experiences for a well-rounded education.  I then attended two years of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, which I completed in May 2021. I’m interested in holistic wellness with a focus on mental and emotional health. I firmly believe counseling provides opportunities for remarkable emotional and mental growth that can affect all other areas of your life for the better.

In my personal journey of character development, I’ve overcome codependent tendencies where I felt like I was responsible to take care of others. My healing journey included learning how to name and process the emotions I was feeling, figure out what I wanted and didn't want for myself, and how to get my needs met in healthy ways. I learned about healthy boundaries and how to protect myself from people who wouldn't be good for me. I also learned to replace unhelpful thought processes (such as the lies that "it's selfish to take care of myself" and "being a good person means being a doormat") with more helpful ones. As a result, I have a healthier relationship with myself and others. I’m also pursuing the things I enjoy in life: one of those joys being the art of therapy.
