What You’ll Come Away With:
I believe there is breakthrough and healing from unwanted same-sex attraction, and I believe God wants to meet you in your struggle! I help people discover the root of their same-sex attraction, connect them to God, and walk with people as they discover the legitimate needs behind their struggle, and how to meet them in a healthy way. I also help parents of LGBTQ children by walking them through loving their child and creating safe spaces to maintain connection.
Biography:
I’m excited to serve in the Transformation Center and bring my unique skill sets learned from over a decade in ministry! I served as a leader in Living Waters, a 6 month in-depth healing program in Kansas City Missouri for 6 years, working with women seeking freedom from sexual and relational brokenness. After completing BSSM, I began mentoring women with same-sex attraction under the guidance of Elizabeth Woning, my mentor of 10 years.
My story is one of hope and restoration! I began struggling with same-sex attraction at an early age after being sexually abused, and at the time there were almost no people talking about freedom from an LGBT lifestyle. I became very depressed and hopeless, and I spent a large part of my early adult life as a closeted lesbian, begging God to help me but not being able to separate myself from a gay identity. My life changed when I met my mentor! She’s an ex lesbian with a powerful testimony, and for the first time I felt hope for freedom from an LGBT lifestyle. She lovingly guided me through healing and surrender, and in 2018 I moved to Redding for BSSM and to be mentored in person by her. Today I am completely set free from my past, and I’m passionate about helping other women who are lost and hopeless like I was find freedom.
I have real-world experience with a topic that’s historically not been understood or talked about in the church. I personally have seen God move mightily in the area of sexuality, both in my life and others, and I’m excited to join the Transformation Center team to offer hope, healing and freedom for those who struggle with an LGBTQ identity.
Outside of work, I love to cook! Being from Kansas City (the BBQ capitol of the USA), I love good BBQ, and I even started my own business selling ribs and pulled pork to people in the community. I am very close with my family, and I value fostering healthy relationships with my friends. I’m also a self proclaimed nerd, and I love all things cars (even thought about becoming a mechanic!).
