Anna
I spent all of my life growing up in Washington state. With a passion for Jesus and creative writing I always knew my goal was to tell people about Jesus; to make hope a little more tangible and to help bring dreamers back to life. I soaked up all the knowledge about God that I could and graduated from a local Bible college in Seattle in 2017 with an Associates in Theology. Yet with all that I knew about God, I still longed for an intimacy that seemed bridled by shame and fear. Nonetheless, God pursued me as He continued to lead me through inner healing and a revelation of His heart and love for me and I began to discover who I truly was to Him, to myself, and to the world around me.
In 2021 I moved out of state and a year later landed in Redding California, ready for a new chapter of healing, growth, and intimacy with Jesus. Here God has led me through breakthroughs into communities where I have had the chance to grow and flourish. Having worked in coffee, and then an administrative role in the county, God was showing me more and more the power of my testimony and the purpose of the gifts He had given me. As mental health and inner healing have been a huge part of my journey, it feels like such an honor to work in a field now with the Transformation Center that helps walk others through those valleys into feasts of belonging and purpose with Jesus where no situation is ever hopeless and sunrise is always right around the corner of midnight.
Outside of work I still love to create, whether through paint on canvas, pen to paper, or words on a page. I love writing spoken poetry that ignites hope and connection even in the difficult places, writing fictional stories that express God’s heart and creativity, and existing in the outdoor natural beauty of God’s creation with friends that have become family. I may be a homebody at heart but a good dose of fresh air and dear community will be sure to water my heart like new rain on spring flowers!
