Embrace the Change

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…” -Ecclesiastes 3:1

Change is a natural process everyone walks through in their lifetime at some point or another. Whether that change is initiated by us or it happens suddenly, we must learn to find Him in the midst of it.

Change doesn’t have to be scary.

We’ve all probably had the thought, “I don’t want anything to change,” or, “I wish things could stay the same.” When things are going well and our lives look good and beautiful, we might not want to welcome change. It might feel difficult…even scary to think of change. But, change can be a sign that God is doing or working on something that we might not see, but is for our benefit.

Change can be a sign of growth, an opportunity to experience something new, and move even closer to Jesus. When we’re in the midst of change and transition, all we want to do is figure things out and have answers. Change requires us to let go, surrender to Him, and step deeper into dependency and trust in the Lord. Though it may be challenging, fruit is produced and His goodness is experienced in change.

Why is change a good thing?

Change is beautiful and good, even when it doesn’t feel like it. Here are 5 fruits that produce out of change.

1-Personal Growth

Change often pushes us out of our comfort zones and presents us with opportunities to grow and develop into who He has made us to be. When we face new challenges or experiences, we learn to adapt, acquire new skills, and become more resilient individuals.

2-New Opportunities

You really never know just what God can do in the middle of transition. Change can open doors to new opportunities that we may not have otherwise encountered. Whether it's a change in career, location, or relationship, embracing change can lead to exciting possibilities for advancement, adventure, and fullness.

3-Adaptability

Experiencing change teaches us to become more adaptable in the face of adversity. ”Blessed are the flexible…” right? Learning to navigate uncertain situations and overcoming obstacles strengthens our ability to handle future challenges with confidence and grace.

4-Fresh Perspective

Change often allows us to see things from a fresh perspective with insight that can broaden our understanding of the world. Experiencing different cultures, viewpoints, and ways of life can help us grow in love and compassion toward the people around us.

5-Breaking the Routine

Stagnant routines, habits, and cycles aren’t a part of His plan for us. He never intended for us to live stuck. Change gives a way to experience renewal and break out of the box. It encourages us to break free from monotony, explore new interests, and pursue passions that invigorate and inspire us.

We understand that change can and will be challenging and unsettling at times. Yet, He is with us in the midst. When we face change, He promises to be with us, giving us the grace and wisdom we need to navigate it. You can find Him in times of uncertainty just as close as in times of complete confidence. There’s an invitation from God to embrace the change and grow even closer to Him at the same time.
